Good change

No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening- it’s painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest for those who are trained in this way. Hebrews 12:11

People can hear the same thing and all hear a different message. We bring to our conversation our worldview. Listening intently to Jesus can change your life. When God is telling you something, He knows exactly the way to communicate with you, in love, grace and peace. When the Holy Spirit lights up the Word of God, that makes for great life application.

Thanks Jesus for knowing exactly what I need to work on and how I can improve.

Unfailing love

I will sing of the Lord’s unfailing love forever. Psalm 89:1

Great is the Lord’s love and that’s a love that doesn’t fail. That much that the psalmist exclaimed that He would sing forever of the Lord’s unfailing love. Have you a song to sing to Jesus of the Lord’s love. Praise Jesus! When gratefulness fills our lives, that is a good place to be. Because of the love of God we can love others from God’s love through our lives.

Lord thanks for your unfailing love. What a blessing to know you and follow you Jesus. Help me love people from that example of your love. Praise you Jesus.

Lamp that guides

Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path. Psalm 119:105

The word of God is a lamp to our feet that’s like just where your walking. Having a light when you are walking is essential as you can not trip up on your way. Scripture is a light for our path. That’s like hope, Scripture gives us the light to walk forward in confidence.

Jesus, thanks for the light of your word. Help me align my life to your word.

Praise Jesus

You are my God, and I will praise you!

You are my God, and I will exalt you! Psalm 118:28

God is not just everywhere, he’s also there for every one of us. Creator of the earth and universe and also mindful of our lives individually. When you think of the vastness of God and also the closeness of God to each one, you want to praise and exalt Jesus! If you have a personal relationship with Jesus, He’s your God. That’s something praise worthy and motivating.

God, you are my God and I will praise you and exalt you.

Community

As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend. Proverbs 27:17

Gratefulness for friendships that cause you to sharpen up and be better in life. Everyday life is meant for community because, together we can do more good. That friendship with Jesus is the greatest of all. What has God ministered to you of late in your daily walk?

Thanks Jesus for everything you are that you are the close friend that sharpens. Help me live well in community and build quality friendships.

Remembering

Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done. Psalm 105:1

Praise the Lord. Thanking Jesus is remembering what he has done. Each and every day he is working in our lives. Praise Jesus for his great love. What are some reasons you could give thanks to God today? We can proclaim his greatness and tell of his excellence.

Lord thanks for all you have done. I want to praise you and bless you.

God cares

I love the Lord because he hears my voice and my prayer for mercy. Psalm 116:1

What a comfort that God does hear our prayers. Thankfulness for God being there. You can talk to Jesus at any time and season of life. God cares more than we know. You can always go to Jesus and share what’s happening in your life. What a wonderful God we serve.

Jesus thanks for your love and mercy.

Praise and reflecting

Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me. John 15:4

Close to Jesus is the place of fruitfulness. Reflecting on Jesus’ character and life is praise. When you are asking Him in every area of your life to change you and help you grow in Him, that’s a good posture to keep. We can all drift at times. Bringing you back to that closeness to Jesus, the Holy Spirit draws us.

Jesus, thanks for drawing me close to you help me remain in you, amen.

Being a peacemaker

And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness James 3:18

Being a peacemaker, helping people to get along is a blessing. We can go helping others see the good in life. Your encouragement matters. Lifting up others in prayer makes a difference. Believing the best in people and drawing greatness from people has an impact.

Jesus, thanks for every opportunity to bless people. Help me remember to encourage and pray for others.

Blessings of the Word

Therefore, we never stop thanking God that when you received his message from us, you didn’t think of our words as mere human ideas. You accepted what we said as the very word of God—which, of course, it is. And this word continues to work in you who believe. 1 Thessalonians 2:13

God uses people to build up believers from the Word of God. Have you heard a message that has blessed you that much that you went home feeling encouraged and reinvigorated to live for Jesus. Praise God for the living Word. From the power of the Holy Spirit, we are changed.

Thanks Jesus for your Word and bless those who minister in the Holy Spirit your Word, amen.

Jesus’ presence

I pray that God, the source of hope,  will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in Him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13

God is our source of hope. He wants us to have hope, that gives us confidence. Peace is the absence of worry and stress. That is in the place of trusting God in the present tense. Today is the day to create space in the Holy Spirit. God can fill our lives with joy and peace, praise Jesus. Very much we need Jesus’ anointing.

Jesus, thanks for your presence and peace.

Keep confident

So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you. Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised. Hebrews 10:35-37

Keep your confidence in Jesus. Believe the Lord is working good as you do God’s will. There is encouragement to have patient endurance to stay in God’s will. Have you ever ran a marathon. You can not sprint the entire way. You need to pace yourself and keep running. When our lives are to serve Jesus, we keep believing and hoping as God’s promises are for real.

Thankyou Jesus, I believe and trust you and seek to serve you.

Peace and salvation in Jesus

I love you, Lord; you are my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress; and my saviour; my God is my rock, in who I find protection. Psalm 18:1

What is it you declare of the Lord? Jesus is the strength of our life, a place of protection as a rock. For all your life a solid rock you can know such peace and salvation in Jesus. In life there’s much that can be difficult, when you go to Jesus, that’s a place you will grow.

Thanks Jesus you are my rock, deliverer and salvation is in your name.

Love is the greatest

Three things will last forever- faith, hope, and love- and the greatest of these is love. 1 Cor. 13:13

Of many areas to value, faith, hope and love are three that will be forever. Your belief is precious to God. To have hope is essential to faith life. Something really good will happen. Can help you be prepared for the good that God will do.

Remember as we love God and others that love is the greatest that will be forever.

Thanks Jesus for faith, hope and love. Help me invest in these 3 qualities for they really matter.

Our keeper

God’s way is perfect. All the LORD’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection. 2 Samuel 22:31

Perfect is the God we serve. The Word has been tested and every word is true, flawless. You can count on God. Have you known your need of the Lord? The scripture tells us that as we go to God for protection, He is a shield. Praise God that He is our keeper.

Jesus thanks for you being a shield. Thanks for your promises that are true.

Life Application

And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. John 8:32

The Word of God is truth. Every time you read the Word, the Holy Spirit has the power that can set you free. If Jesus sets you free, you are truly free (John 8:36). If you align your life to scripture, you are going to be blessed. How can you make life application from the bible for your day today?

Thanks Jesus for your Word. Help me bring my life up to the light of your Word.

God deserves all our praise

Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name goes all the glory for your unfailing love and faithfulness. Psalm 115:1

Praise is fitting for the Lord. You can easily be overwhelmed from the unfailing love and faithfulness of God that you want to give praise to Jesus. God deserves all the praise and glory, praise the Lord. How great is our God that He is always there. He loves us and continues to love us.

Jesus, you deserve all the praise and glory. To your name be praises always and forever.

Hope that’s steadfast

O God; you are my God; I earnestly search for you. Psalm 63:1

Thank God that Jesus wants to be found. When you are searching for God, He becomes your consuming passion. Every day is an opportunity of praising the Lord and for seeking the Lord. What a blessing to be able to spend time with Jesus. Your hope can be steadfast as you are searching for the Lord.

Lord I want to earnestly search for you. Help me put you first Jesus.

Spiritual giftings

For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7

The context of the verse is the spiritual giftings and fanning into flame those spiritual gifts of the Lord’s calling on our lives. He has equipped us, given us a spirit of power, love and self discipline. There’s great purpose stepping into your day knowing the Holy Spirit has anointing for every spiritual gifting.

Thanks Jesus for the blessing of your Holy Spirit, that anoints and equips us for every good work in Jesus.

Praise the Lord

Praise the Lord! Let all that I am praise the Lord. Psalm 146:1

Praising Jesus is something that’s good for you as well as blessing the Lord. When you praise the Lord, He is lifted above your circumstances. Praise Jesus because He is holy, because He is great. Praise can make a positive impact to your day. As long as we have breath, we can praise the Lord!

Jesus, praise you with exuberance today.
