Spirit and life

It is the Spirit who gives life, the flesh profits nothing; the words I have spoken to you are spirit and are life. John 6:63

Praise God for the Holy Spirit. Jesus exclaimed that the Spirit gives life and that was the very words that Jesus spoke as spirit and life. We can allow the richness of Jesus’ words to pour over our lives. As you listen to the Word of God, you are going to be encouraged as the Holy Spirit brings life to the Bible. Has something in God’s Word really blessed you recently?

Thanks Jesus, I love your words of spirit and life.

Learning from Jesus

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Matthew 11:28-30

Jesus wants to take our burdens as we go to Him. Jesus is gentle and humble and He wants us to learn from Him. God has rest for our souls as we are learning from Jesus. What Jesus expects us to carry, his yoke, is easy and his burden isn’t wearisome, it is light. What is something in your walk that God is teaching you at the moment? As we learn from Jesus the burden is less and the tether is light.

Lord Jesus, I love you and I want to go to you each day, I want to learn from you very much.

Journey close to Jesus

Teach me your way, O Lord; I will walk in Your truth; unite my heart to fear your name. Psalm 86:11

Wholehearted in your respect of God and prayers of knowing the Lord’s ways is a journey of being close to Jesus. You can be vulnerable with God, knowing he cares.  What could you ask the Lord today?

Thanks Jesus, being able to pray to you is everything to me. Cause my heart to totally respect you and show me your ways.

The will of God

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18.

The will of God is to have a joyful life, pray about everything and give thanks no matter what. In Jesus, there’s always reason to rejoice. There’s always something to give thanks for. What in your day can you give thanks about? Praying continually is a good challenge. Prayer can help us go past obstacles that only Jesus could help us pass.

Thanks Jesus for each new day and the opportunity to praise and thank you Lord and to pray as we go.

Rise up

God has not given us a spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and self discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7

Sometimes you find you need to rise up and live beyond fear that can hold us back, because fear is not from God. Praise Jesus for the comfort of his love and the courage that he has given us a spirit of power, love and self discipline. Each new day is an opportunity to live well for Jesus.

Praise Jesus for blessing us with a spirit of power, love and self discipline. Today I turn from fear and live for you Jesus.

Fresh infilling

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5,6

As every time you have put effort in to have a go, and missed success, there’s another opportunity. Challenges make us to develop perseverance. How close is the Holy Spirit in our daily lives. There’s such a need for that fresh infilling of the Holy Spirit. Acknowledging Him in our daily walk is praising Jesus as you go. There, in his presence, we have a newness and an overcoming spirit. Like pioneers, in Jesus we are taking new ground and praising the Lord as we go.

Lord Jesus, your love is great. Thanks for your Holy Spirit bringing comfort and grace. Help me to live from the fresh empowerment of your life Holy Spirit.

Passionate for Jesus

And he said, Lord God of Israel, there is no God like you, in heaven above, or on earth beneath, who keeps covenant and mercy with your servants that walk before you with all their heart. 1 Kings 8:23

Being passionate for Jesus is what each of us want to be. What a wonderful Lord we serve. When you walk in relationship with Jesus, that is a covenant, praise God. To proclaim wonder of God is beautiful praise. What could you praise Jesus about today?

Thank you Lord, you are great and mighty. I’m grateful for your incredible love.

Complete love

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38,39.

Jesus has a love that is complete. There is nothing that can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus. Praise God. How much He loves us. Whatever your day was like, be encouraged that Jesus’ love is the constant in your life. As you praise Jesus, the overflow of that is the presence of God in Christ Jesus. When our lives enter in to the presence of God, worries are eased, our brokenness healed and close together in Jesus’ love are we.

Jesus thanks for your love, the constant in life.

Celebrating each day

This is the day which the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24

Each day is worthy of celebrating, because God has made the day. Praise the Lord! Have you seen a sunset that amazes you? Have you seen a day with blue skies picturesque with fluffy white clouds or a double rainbow? That’s reason to praise the Lord. It’s very grounding to rejoice in Jesus in moments of the day.

Praise you Jesus. Thanks for a new day filled with your purpose.

Remembering Jesus

For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes. 1 Corinthians 11:26

When you take part in communion, what a blessing. We are remembering Jesus Christ and what He did that we can all be saved. As we have communion, we are proclaiming Jesus death until He comes back. This is a powerful declaration of our belief in Jesus. Great purpose is there in remembering Jesus.

Jesus thanks for your sacrifice for each and every one.

Pure and refined

The words of the Lord are pure words; As silver tried in the furnace refined seven times. Psalm 12:6

How beautiful is God’s Word. Reading or listening to the bible makes your spirit sing. Perfect and complete, the words of Jesus stand out. What do you love about the Word? Pure and refined, the Word of God is able to change and transform our lives. Each moment spent with Jesus and the Bible is precious.

Thanks Jesus for your words that bring life and encouragement to the spirit and soul. Change me to be more like you Jesus as I reflect on your Word.

God cares

The Lord builds up Jerusalem; He gathers the outcasts of Israel. He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:2,3

God cares for everyone. He has healing for brokenhearted people. When you are down, Jesus lifts your head. When you might feel on the outer, God is close. The Holy Spirit is the great comforter of our souls. Praise God for his wonderful lovingkindness. In the space that we  make for him, the Holy Spirit moves, thankyou Jesus.

Praise you Lord for your great love for your people. I want to be near to you.

Every spiritual blessing

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ. Ephesians 1:3

Praise God that He has blessed us with each and every spiritual blessing. We know that our real life is hid with Christ in God (Colossians 3:3). In the heavenly places, in Christ are every spiritual blessing for us to receive by the grace of God.

Praise you Jesus for such blessings spiritually. Help me walk in all of your promises Lord.

Living for Jesus

We constantly pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may bring to fruition your every desire for goodness and your every deed prompted by faith. 2 Thessalonians 1:11

That calling from God is holy. We can pray that God makes us worthy of His calling. Living for Jesus is exciting as what God wants to do is align our lives with Him and cause us to be fruitful in goodness and faith filled works.

Celebrate the small

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18.

Gratefulness can help you not focus on worries. When our lives celebrate the small, that creates good pathways for more of the same positives. Like practicing for a game you do warm ups and our life can be like that. When you practice thankfulness, what could translate would be a better day. Thinking positive really is something the Lord made, praise Jesus. What are some good happenings in life today?

Lord Jesus, thanks for each positive I get to remember your goodness today.

Generous Mindsets

A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed. Proverbs 11:25

Having a generous mindset causes one to see the need and help others. You are blessed as you go about helping others. Like the bible tells us, anyone who refreshes others will be refreshed. Jesus was the ultimate example of the way he cared for the multitudes. What is something you could do today that would refresh others?

Thank you Jesus for ordinary life to be able to help others as I go about my day.

Promises of God

For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God. 2 Corinthians 1:20

All of God’s promises have a yes and amen. Praise Jesus. When you pray, God backs up every one of his promises. That’s a reason to pray the Scripture. As we pray, we are declaring God’s promises over the atmosphere and believing for Jesus’ blessing and prayer covering. If you think of all the promises God has made in the Bible, that’s pretty exhaustive. Praise Jesus that each one is yes and amen.

Lord Jesus, thanks for all the scriptures I can declare and believe.

Jesus the same

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8

Jesus is solid. He is the same always and forever. People and circumstances might change, all the while Jesus stays the same. You can rest your life on Jesus. God is a faithful friend, Lord and saviour. You can put your hope in Him. That is the greatest peace you can have in life to know Jesus as your Lord.

Thanks for being there Jesus. I put my hope in you Lord. Thankyou for your peace.

Praise Jesus

It is good to give thanks to the Lord And to sing praises to your name, O most high; to declare your lovingkindness in the morning And your faithfulness by night. Psalm 92:1,2

Praise and thanks is a good idea. As we bring praise, we can declare Jesus’ love and faithfulness in our lives. God has been good. He is our redeemer and saviour. God is our strength and everlasting light. Praise Jesus for who He is and what He’s done.

Thanks Jesus for being my God. Praise your name forever.

Have courage

Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Joshua 1:7

Have courage. As you follow the Word in all you do, the promise of the Bible is that you would be successful in every place you go. If you choose to be strong and courageous, that’s a mindset of champions. You might feel weak, just give that to God and know that He is your strength.

Jesus thanks for your strength and help being courageous. Help me follow you in all I do today, in Jesus’ name, amen.
