Being a listener

A plan in the heart of a man is like deep water, But a man of understanding draws it out. Proverbs 20:5

Being a listener can make people feel comfortable that they can talk and feel at ease. If you can have understanding, you can cause people to realise their plan. What a blessing to have faith friendships.

Is there a way you can build good friendships today?

Gratefulness

I love the Lord, because He hears My voice and my supplications. Psalm 116:1

When you are in such need of Jesus, there’s great comfort to know God hears your prayers. We are small and insignificant compared to the planets and galaxies and still God hears our prayers. Gratefulness for God that He has time for us.

Thanks Lord Jesus, I love you always. You hear my prayers, gratefulness.

Really living

If you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give up your life for me, you will find it. Matthew 10:39

If you want to keep your life, you end up losing it. However when you lay down your life for Jesus, you find your true life. Of all the expectations you could have in your life, instead of hoping in the world, hope in Jesus. There your expectations will always be met. Jesus is always the same. You can lean on him.

Thank you Jesus that your purpose is good that to be set apart for you is really living.

Complete Love

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38,39.

Jesus has a love that is complete. There is nothing that can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus. Praise God. How much He loves us. Whatever your day was like, be encouraged that Jesus’ love is the constant in your life. As you praise Jesus, the overflow of that is the presence of God in Christ Jesus. When our lives enter in to the presence of God, worries are eased, our brokenness healed and close together in Jesus’ love are we.

Jesus thanks for your love, the constant in life.

Fear not

For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7

There are many verses in the bible that encourage us not to fear. Fear can stop you in your tracks. However the spirit God has for us is of power, love and self discipline. Our lives can live up to God’s promises, not to our circumstances. We can be brave because of the Spirit of God in our lives.

Praise you Jesus! You help us to live in your confidence, love and self discipline.

Love of God

How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! And the children of men take refuge in the shadow of your wings. Psalm 36:7

The lovingkindness of God! Wouldn’t it be wonderful if everyone could experience Jesus’ love? When people discover the love of God, they are never the same. God covers us in his great love, much like angel’s wings. Close to Jesus is such love that we are complete in him.

Lord help me reach the unreached for you Lord.  Thanks for your wonderful love.

Praying in the Spirit

Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.

Ephesians 6:18

Praying in the spirit is always a good idea, whatever the time or occasion. Sometimes you need to get fired up for Jesus again. That’s where community is good as we weren’t made to do life alone. Praying for believers is something needed, and with persistence can be such a blessing.

Lord Jesus, thanks for believers everywhere. Please bless and protect those who follow you Jesus.

Praise God

O sing to the Lord a new song, For He has done wonderful things. Psalm 98:1

Is there a fresh song on your lips of the Lord’s goodness? Singing praises does bring us to remember our God is good, all the blessings of knowing Christ. Even in the hard times, God is ever present. He is ready for our praises.

Praise you God for your faithfulness, love and grace. Thankyou that you are always doing something new.

Seeking the Lord

Like apples of gold in settings of silver Is a word spoken in right circumstances. Proverbs 25:11

That moment when someone takes the words right out of your mouth and has a confirmation from the Lord. An encouraging word can build you up with new courage, keeping your faith strong. The Bible has many encouraging verses and passages. Times when you really need a word from God and seek the Lord, there’s something you read that’s just right for you. God still communicates today, as He did in Bible times.

Thankyou Jesus for a fresh word today from you.

Everything praise the Lord

Bless the Lord, O my soul, And all that is within me bless His holy name. Psalm 103:1

As everything you have praises the Lord, you are caught up in the wonder of his presence. From day to day, we can tell our souls to praise the Lord and bless the Lord. How can you invest in praise as you go about your day?

Thanks Jesus, I love to praise and worship your holy name.

God’s promises

For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God. 2 Corinthians 1:20

All of God’s promises have a yes and amen. Praise Jesus. When you pray, God backs up every one of his promises. That’s a reason to pray the Scripture. As we pray, we are declaring God’s promises over the atmosphere and believing for Jesus’ blessing and prayer covering. If you think of all the promises God has made in the Bible, that’s pretty exhaustive. Praise Jesus that each one is yes and amen.

Lord Jesus, thanks for all the scriptures I can declare and believe.

Proclaiming Jesus

For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes. 1 Corinthians 11:26

Jesus died for the salvation of all people. When you partake of bread and wine, you are declaring that reality. If people knew the love of God, that he cares for them eternally, what an impact that would make on people’s lives! We are the light of the world, in Jesus, shining that many would come to know God.

Thanks God that we can remember you in taking the bread and the wine.

Being close to Jesus

But as for me, the nearness of God is my good; I have made the Lord God my refuge, That I may tell of Your works. Psalm 73:28

Being close to the Lord is good. When you purpose in your heart to draw near to Jesus, that is a place you can proclaim His greatness with authenticity. In God, you are his beloved, precious child and friend. What is something you could do today to bless your relationship with Jesus?

Praise you Jesus for the blessing of knowing you.

Practical knowledge

Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom. Proverbs 4:7

Proverbs has many wise verses, designed to help us practically. If you need wisdom, you can ask the Holy Spirit. He can help in specific areas that need wisdom. Praise Jesus that we don’t have to do life alone, we have the helper, the Holy Spirit.

Jesus, today I’m asking for wisdom to apply your Word to my life.

Praise Jesus

Praise Jesus that we get to have a real friendship with God. There is a love that nothing can take away, the love we have in Christ Jesus. Like when you have a pet, you dote on them, God cares about you and pays attention to your life. What a beautiful love we have in Jesus our Lord.

Jesus, thanks for your love that is there for us.

Peace and salvation

I love you, Lord; you are my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress; and my saviour; my God is my rock, in who I find protection. Psalm 18:1

What is it you declare of the Lord? Jesus is the strength of our life, a place of protection, as the rock of our life. For all your life a solid rock you can know such peace and salvation in Jesus. In life there’s much that can be difficult, when you go to Jesus, that’s a place you will grow and find shelter.

Thanks Jesus you are my rock, deliverer and salvation is in your name.

Jesus cares

Jesus wept. John 11:35

The shortest verse in the Bible and yet has so much meaning. I used to think why did Jesus weep because He knew He could raise him up from the dead. However, Jesus was in the moment. He loved his friends and wept with them. He was compassionate about Lazarus and his friends.

Thanks Jesus for your great love. Help me love the way you love people, amen.

Daily walk

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18.

To give thanks, is a great place to begin. How can you pray continually? You can catch the moments and direct them to Jesus. Having a quiet time can help your prayer life because that makes continual prayer be easier. That can set up your daily life well.

Jesus, thank you that I can always go to you in prayer and thanksgiving.

Lifter of our burdens

Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burden, The God who is our salvation. Selah. Psalm 68:19

God is our deliverer and salvation. With all we carry, the Lord bears our burdens, He helps us. Praise Jesus, that there is great help in the Lord. When you lean apon the Lord, there you find He is the God of your salvation. Everyday He lifts our burdens. Daily God is there.

Thanks Jesus for being our salvation and lifting our burdens.

Hope in Jesus

Be strong and let your heart take courage, all you who hope in the Lord. Psalm 31:24

There’s a decision you can make to be strong and courageous. Your hope in the Lord makes you secure. Praise God, our hope is in the Lord. Of many places you could put your hope, hope in the Lord is great as He never changes, always the same. What as some areas of your life you can hope in the Lord?

Jesus, thanks for your Holy Spirit, guiding me and keeping me in your hope Lord.
