Remembering Jesus

For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes. 1 Corinthians 11:26

When you take part in communion what a blessing. We are remembering Jesus Christ and what He did on the cross. As we have communion, we are proclaiming Jesus death until He comes back. This is a powerful declaration of our belief in Jesus. Great purpose is there in remembering Jesus.

Jesus thanks for your sacrifice for each and every one.

Knowing Jesus personally

Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge. Proverbs 12:1a

Learning is a life long journey. Most important is knowing God. Not just knowledge about Jesus, getting to know God personally. The Holy Spirit teaches us and leads us into all truth. What can you discover today about Jesus?

Thank you Jesus for your wonderful presence. Help me learn of you today, amen.

Empathy

Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. Romans 12:15

Community life is caring for each other. If someone has a win, to celebrate with them and if someone is grieving to grieve with them. God made us with a need to love and be loved.

Thanks Lord for your comfort that we can comfort others with.

Close to Jesus

Praise the Lord

Praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song, and His praise in the congregation of the godly ones. Psalm 149:1

Lifting up praise to Jesus is something that can be a constant in our lives. When you sing a new song to the Lord, what a blessing to His heart. Altogether singing praise in a congregation, there’s a corporate anointing that encourages.

Praise you Jesus. Thanks for who you are.

Hope in Jesus

“I love You, O Lord, my strength.” Psalm 18:1

What a wonder that God is our strength. In our weakness, we can more be reliant upon Jesus. What is there in your life can you place your hope in Jesus, instead of your own strength? God has the grace you need to go to the next stage up in your life.

Praise you Jesus for being my strength. I love you!

Hope in the Lord

O Israel, hope in the Lord; For with the Lord there is lovingkindness, And with Him is abundant redemption. Psalm 130:7

The Lord is good. As hoping in the Lord is the direction of our lives, we can know the lovingkindness of the Lord. Whatever you need is in Jesus; there is hope, love and peace in the Holy Spirit. We are God’s people and He is our deliverer. Praise Jesus.

Thanks Jesus for your great love. Help me to hope in you Lord.

Giving thanks

It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing unto your name, O most high. Psalm 92:1

As we sing to the Lord and praise Jesus, the scripture reminds us that is good. When you have that idea to praise, what a blessing to give thanks. That can be as you walk along, in your car or wherever you are. Just begin and what will follow is wonderful melodies to the Lord.

Lord Jesus, I love to bring you praise. Thankyou for who you are Lord.

Freedom in the Holy Spirit

It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject to a yoke of slavery. Galatians 5:1

Praise Jesus that He sets us free. The Holy Spirit helps us more than we can understand. God leads us to freedom. Waiting on the Lord is important for our spiritual life. How do you wait on the Lord?

Thanks Jesus that you have set us free.

Praising Jesus

I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. Psalm 34:1

There’s something about praise that draws you closer to Jesus. We can always bless the Lord, at any time. Praise God for his character, for his grace and love. Thank Him for being there and being our righteousness.

Praise you Jesus, thanks for being my Lord.

Knowledge for life

How blessed is the man who finds wisdom And the man who gains understanding. Proverbs 3:13

Learning is a life journey, that we able to grow and change. The Bible is like a map book to life, the Holy Spirit guides us every day. Thank God for the precious Holy Spirit. We can ask God for wisdom and He can help us get knowledge for life.

Thanks Jesus, you are my forever and always.

Reason to praise

Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us Ephesians 3:20

God causes us great reason to praise. He is able to do more than we can ask or think. The Holy Spirit does a great work in our lives. What hopes, expectation do you have of the Lord? What are your dreams? God wants us to expect great, as then we are lead to pray prayers of great expectation. The Lord is our deliverer, Saviour, healer.

Jesus, thanks for your help that’s heaps more than we can dream. I pray for courage to believe and have faith.

Discipleship

Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19

What a mystery discipleship is and a challenge to be a part of making disciples. Baptism is key to discipleship. Baptism is someone surrendering their life to Jesus totally. Just as Jesus died, as someone goes under the water and Jesus was raised to life, as they are taken up out of the water. This is significant in a believer’s life, a new life has begun. Praise Jesus for the gift baptism is.

Thanks Jesus for the miracle of discipleship and baptism. Praise you that everything is new in Jesus, we are new people.

Lives for Jesus

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 5:1

God made a way for us to be made right with Him through Jesus. He has justified us by faith, our belief in Christ Jesus. Thank Jesus for peace with God. When you made that decision to follow the Lord, you were then set apart as holy for Jesus. It’s good for us to remember what a wonderful Lord we have in Jesus Christ; that saved us and made us right with God.

Thanks Jesus for the gift of salvation, having peace with God.

Praising Jesus

The choir and trumpets made one voice of praise and thanks to God - orchestra and choir in perfect harmony singing and playing praise to God: Yes! God is good! His loyal love goes on forever! 14 The priests couldn't even carry out their duties because of the cloud - the glory of God! 2 Chronicles 5:13,14

What a wonder when the presence of the Lord fills the place! As we praise Jesus in unity, for who He is, and what He’s done, there is such a blessing in the Lord. What is something you can praise the Lord about today?

Hope in Jesus

We put our hope in the Lord. He is our help and our shield. In Him our hearts rejoice for we trust in His holy name. Let your unfailing love surround us, Lord, for our hope is in you alone. Psalm 33:20-22

The Lord is our help and shield. Gratefulness that in Jesus is our hope. Whatever the season of life, God is there. When you take a step closer to Jesus, He draws close to you. The one that made the planets and earth, cares about each one of us.

Thanks Jesus for who you are, praying your unfailing love surrounds us.

Being close to Jesus

More than that, I count all things be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, whom I have suffered the loss of all things and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ.  Philippians 3:8

Being close to Jesus is worth everything. There is nothing that can compare to that. One day, when we reach heaven, what a wonder, to see Jesus and worship Him. We don’t need to wait until then, our lives on earth are for His glory and praise.

Praise you Jesus for being everything to me.

Faith of believers

Listen to me, you who pursue righteousness, Who seek the Lord: Look to the rock from which you were hewn And to the quarry from which you were dug. Isaiah 51:1

What we are living in is what generations before have pioneered. We stand on their shoulders. People of faith that have prayed the way before us, still make an impact today. What people of faith have inspired you to live for Jesus?

Thanks Jesus, I delight in you Lord. Thanks for people of faith that have pioneered the path before our lives.

Praise the Lord!

Praise the Lord! Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; For His lovingkindness is everlasting. Psalm 106:1

Praising the Lord is every believer’s delight. We can thank Him for His goodness, for His lovingkindness and grace. Is there a song that has sparked praise recently? How has God blessed you today?

Thanks Jesus, you are everything to me. Praise your name.

Being a light

Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Mark 16:15

The gospel preached brings opportunities for people to meet Jesus. We can always be ready to share the good news. We go through different times in life. Sometimes, even in the valley, there you can share with people that God is with you even there. Being a light is living for Jesus.
