One thing

This one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forward unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Jesus Christ. Philippians 3:13,14

When you are looking forward in life, you have great vision. If you can keep in mind all that is in Christ Jesus, that can help you from staying in the same old rut you were in. It’s good to make your one thing that you do to stretch towards that “mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Jesus Christ,” Philippians 3:14

Jesus, thanks for the opportunity to serve you and live in the centre of your will.

Community

Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another. Proverbs 27:17

Good advice from a friend is always welcome. People sharpen other people just being in fellowship. Community is strengthening and life changing. We haven’t arrived. Being committed to being a life long learner will increase your capacity of what you are able to contribute.

Thanks Lord for good friendship and people that are such a blessing.

Be of good courage

Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all you that hope in the Lord. Psalm 31:24

The Lord wants to strengthen your heart as you are of good courage. If Jesus believes in you, you can believe in yourself also. Think of the way God thinks of you. You are his beloved. You are the redeemed of the Lord. You are a child of God. You are the apple of his eye. Good courage is doable as you believe what God tells you of in the Bible.

Thanks Lord for the courage to follow you with all I am.

Flying like eagles

The strength of those who wait with hope in the LORD will be renewed. They will soar on wings like eagles. They will run and won't become weary. They will walk and won't grow tired. Isaiah 40:31

There is renewal for those who wait on the Lord. Eagles effortlessly fly, that’s what it’s like when you wait upon God. You have boundless energy, able to run and not get weary and walk and not get tired. Are you ever feeling weak spiritually? There’s new strength for you in the presence of God.

Thanks Jesus for renewal in your presence.

Building up

The hope of the righteous is gladness. Proverbs 10:28

Of many places you could put your expectancies, in Jesus presence, that can  be the greater source of perpetual blessings from day to day. There are many ways of  building up your spirit, from prayer in the heavenly language and spontaneous praise and worship to church fellowship and times of quiet reflect.

Thankfulness Jesus for your presence, peace and love in the Holy Spirit.

Your new life

In Jesus we have a new life. When you were baptised your old life was buried with Christ and you were raised up in Jesus. Praise God, there is new life in Christ. What are some ways you can walk in your new life in Jesus?

Thanks Lord for a new life in Christ Jesus.

God cares

The Lord is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works. Psalm 145:9

God cares for everyone. He has such goodness that he has for each person. How has the Lord been good to you? When you acclaim God’s tender mercies, you are realising the wonder of everything he does.

Thanks Jesus for all your works. I am astonished when I consider your goodness and tender mercies.

Praise God

It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord and to sing praises unto your name, O most high.   Psalm 92:1

There is much to be thankful for. Praise God. Is there a song that has blessed you today? Making space for praising Jesus is a blessing to the Lord. Praise God for the day, for family, shelter and food. Thank Jesus for everything he does and will do. Praise God for who he is.

Thanks Jesus for every blessing. Praise your name Lord.

Belief in Jesus

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. Hebrews 10:23

Your belief in Jesus is precious to him. God is faithful to all his promises. Keep your hope in him. Praise God we can take him at his word. What has God done in your life that you can attest to in keeping his word? Is there a verse you can proclaim over your day today?

Thanks Jesus for being there always, you answer prayer. I believe in Scripture, that you back up your Word.

Godly influences

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6

All those manners and good training you put in as your children are young is worthwhile. They in turn will be able to help their children one day. Being a faith filled parent or relative can be such a godly influence.

Lord Jesus, help me be a good example to train and teach in your ways Lord.

Have hope

I lift up my eyes to the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. Psalm 121:1,2

Whenever you need help, going to Jesus is the place to be found. As you survey creation, you see that what God made is awesome. That’s the same God that is your help today. You can have hope because Jesus is alive today. Our help doesn’t come from here or there, our help comes from the God that created heaven and the earth. What can you seek God about today?

Lord Jesus, I go to you Lord knowing from you is where my help comes from.

Jesus is real

Now thanks be unto God, which always causes us to triumph in Christ, and makes manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place. 2 Corinthians 2:14

Thank God, we overcome in Christ Jesus. In Christ we triumph, he causes us to triumph. Wherever you are, people are awakened to the knowledge of Jesus. Everything is because of Christ Jesus, all praise to God. Wherever you go today, know that Jesus is with you and his power is working that people would know he is real.

Thanks Jesus, you are the reason we triumph always. Believing for more people to know you are alive.

Praise Jesus

Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable. Psalm 145:3

Bringing exuberant praise is fitting. God is great and greatly to be praised. He is more than magnanimous, unsearchable is his greatness. Praise Jesus! What can you praise God for today? We can praise him for his greatness.

Thanks God, how great you are Lord!

Covenant Keeper

And he said, Lord God of Israel, there is no God like you, in heaven above, or on earth beneath, who keeps covenant and mercy with your servants that walk before you with all their heart. 1 Kings 8:23

What place can you go to find another like God? You cannot. What a wonderful God we serve. Praise Jesus! God is a covenant keeping God and remembers his mercy. We can serve God wholeheartedly and know that he will keep his promises from scripture.

Thanks Jesus for your promises from the Word. Help me serve you wholeheartedly because there is no God like you.

Peace of God

For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which will be revealed toward us. Romans 8:18

To know God is to be expectant of all he will do. If you compare what God will do to what you go through, it’s not even comparable. The peace of God is there right where you are. In the presence of God is impartation and new strength. Are you expectant meeting Jesus in the presence of God?

Thanks Jesus for your presence and peace.

He is that good

They celebrate your abundant goodness
    and joyfully sing of your righteousness.

The Lord is gracious and compassionate,
    slow to anger and rich in love.

The Lord is good to all;
    he has compassion on all he has made.

Psalm 145: 7-9

Praise Jesus for his goodness and righteousness. The character of God is compassionate and rich in love. You just want to tell everyone you meet about the Lord because he is that good. If the world knew how much God loved each one, what a miracle would that be.

Praise you Jesus for your great love.

New beginnings

In the beginning God created the heaven and earth. Genesis 1:1

God does new beginnings. He was there in the beginning as creator God. Today, as we pray, what is possible? All things are possible! Believing God at his word can help launch prayers of faith that make a real impact in our world today.

Lord Jesus, thanks for being creator back then as you are now as well.

Love that’s complete

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38,39.

Jesus has a love that is complete. There is nothing that can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus. Praise God. How much He loves us. Whatever your day was like, be encouraged that Jesus’ love is the constant in your life. As you praise Jesus, the overflow of that is the presence of God in Christ Jesus. When our lives enter in to the presence of God, worries are eased, our brokenness healed and close together in Jesus’ love are we.

Jesus thanks for your love, the constant in life.

Greatest discovery

There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her. Luke 10:42

Your time waiting apon Jesus is important. Mary discovered that element and she would keep that. Like being poor in spirit, that need of the Lord is the greatest discovery. That you can be steadfast waiting on God is a delight to the Lord. We can find the time for what is most vital for our spiritual life.

Thanks Jesus for friendship and time together. Help me find time to set apart for you, amen.

Who Jesus is to you

I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever: with my mouth I will make known your faithfulness to all generations. Psalm 89:1

God is merciful and faithful. In song we can tell of the mercies of God and of Jesus‘ faithfulness that everyone would know. When you are grateful, you can’t help talking up all God has done. Have you a song that declares something of who Jesus is to you?

Lord Jesus, I will praise you. Thanks for your mercies and faithfulness.
